3 Count Bout is a wrestling game where you control one of six colorful wrestlers competing for championship glory. The objective is to defeat your opponent by pinning their shoulders to the mat for a three-count or making them submit via a submission hold. Moment-to-moment play involves moving around the ring, grappling with your opponent when close, and executing various throws, slams, and strikes. Each character has unique special moves performed with specific joystick and button combinations. A useful beginner strategy is to learn the basic grapple timing and focus on building your super meter by successfully landing attacks. The challenge rhythm involves trading blows, reversing opponent moves, and capitalizing on openings to unleash powerful special moves. In the early moments, focus on defense and learning your opponent's patterns. During the middle of the match, use your super moves strategically when your opponent is vulnerable. In tense moments near the end, watch for pinning opportunities after powerful slams or try to wear down your opponent with submission holds.
