Captain Commando is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up where you fight through urban environments using punches, kicks, and special attacks. Each of the four characters has unique moves: Captain Commando uses electric attacks, Ginzu wields ninja swords, Baby throws robotic fists, and Mack can breathe fire. The basic controls include attack, jump, and a special attack performed by pressing both buttons simultaneously, which consumes a small amount of health but clears surrounding enemies. Your objective is to defeat waves of enemies and bosses across multiple stages while avoiding damage. Focus on crowd control by using jump attacks and special moves when surrounded. In tense moments, prioritize dodging projectiles and isolating stronger enemies. Collect power-ups like health restoratives and point bonuses to extend your playthrough. The game supports up to four players simultaneously, allowing for cooperative strategies against the challenging boss encounters.
