Captain Tsubasa J: Get in the Tomorrow is an action soccer game where you control a team of players from the famous manga. Your main goal is to score more goals than the opposing team within the match time. Moment-to-moment play involves moving your player with the D-pad, passing the ball with the Circle button, and shooting with the Square button. You can perform special dribbles and powerful super shots by holding a button and executing a command when your spirit gauge is full. A key beginner strategy is to pass frequently to build up your spirit gauge before attempting a super shot, as these are hard for the goalkeeper to stop. Early in a match, focus on maintaining possession and learning the timing of your character's special moves. In the middle of the game, use through passes and one-twos to break through the defense. During tense moments, such as a penalty kick or a last-minute attack, carefully aim your shot and try to use a super move for the best chance of scoring. Defense is just as important; use the X button to tackle and try to anticipate the opponent's moves to intercept the ball.
