In Goof Troop, you guide Goofy and Max through a pirate-infested island to rescue their kidnapped neighbors. The core gameplay revolves around solving environmental puzzles and clearing enemies from each screen. You can pick up and throw objects like barrels, pots, and bombs to defeat enemies, or kick blocks to line them up and open pathways. You must also collect key items, such as keys to unlock doors, boards to bridge gaps, and shovels to dig up hidden items. Choose your character wisely: Goofy moves slower but can defeat most enemies with a single thrown object, while Max moves quickly but requires multiple hits to defeat enemies. Use the grappling hook to stun foes from a distance or grab items across water hazards. During tense boss battles, focus on dodging incoming attacks and quickly throwing the boss's own projectiles or nearby objects back at them to secure victory.
