Your goal is to guide Mega Man through eight initial stages, each culminating in a battle against a unique Robot Master. Defeating a Robot Master grants you their signature weapon, which is often the weakness of another boss. This creates a strategic sequence for tackling the stages. Moment-to-moment gameplay involves precise running and jumping across platforms while shooting your standard Mega Buster arm cannon at various robotic enemies. A useful beginner strategy is to start with Gravity Man's stage, as his weapon is effective against several other bosses. The challenge rhythm is consistent, with each stage presenting new environmental hazards and enemy patterns to learn. In the early game, focus on mastering Mega Man's slide ability to dodge attacks and navigate tight spaces. As you progress, managing your special weapon energy becomes crucial for boss fights.
