Your goal is to guide Sonic through vibrant, fast-paced levels to defeat Dr. Eggman. You run, jump, and spin dash through loops and obstacles, collecting rings for protection and extra lives. Use the Wisps, which grant temporary power-ups like turning into a laser or a drill, to access new paths and defeat enemies. In the Nintendo DS version, the touch screen is used to activate Wisp powers and manage special stages. Focus on maintaining momentum and mastering the timing of jumps and Wisp transformations to clear stages quickly and find hidden routes. As you progress, levels become more complex with more enemies and environmental hazards, requiring quick reflexes and strategic use of Wisps to survive.
