A useful beginner strategy is to focus on mastering a few basic special moves and learning to block effectively. The challenge rhythm is fast-paced, requiring you to read your opponent's attacks and find openings to strike. In the early moments of a match, focus on zoning with projectiles or poking with safe attacks to gauge your opponent's style. During the middle of the fight, look for opportunities to land a combo or an Alpha Counter to reverse pressure. In tense moments when your health is low, your Super Combo gauge will be full, allowing you to unleash a powerful finisher for a comeback.
