In Knuckles' Chaotix, you select two characters from the Chaotix team who are connected by a magical elastic band. The core objective is to navigate through various themed zones, collecting Chaos Rings while avoiding enemies and obstacles. Your primary movement involves controlling one character while the other follows, with the elastic band creating unique platforming dynamics - you can use it to slingshot yourself across gaps or pull objects. Each character has special abilities: Knuckles can glide and climb walls, Vector can double jump, and other members have unique skills. The game features a non-linear structure where you complete special stages to progress. Focus on mastering the tether mechanics early, as proper timing of slingshot moves is crucial for reaching hidden areas.
