Super Street Fighter II is a head-to-head fighting game where players select one of sixteen martial artists to compete in a global tournament. The game utilizes a six-button layout consisting of three strengths of punches and three strengths of kicks: light, medium, and heavy. In the early moments of a match, test the opponent's defenses with pokes and low kicks. As the round progresses and health drops, utilize combos and throws to break through blocks. Tense moments often come down to chip damage or well-timed blocks, so staying calm and waiting for a punishable mistake is the key to victory.
