A key beginner strategy is to learn the timing for jumps; press the button just before a ramp to get maximum air, then use the control stick to perform spins and grabs for points. Focus on landing cleanly, as crashes will slow you down significantly. In a race, the early section is about finding a smooth line and building speed. The middle of the run is where you can chain together tricks on successive jumps to build a high score. During tense moments, like a close race or a difficult trick sequence, concentrate on precise balance adjustments to avoid wiping out before the finish line.
