In Cruis'n USA, your goal is to win races across a variety of US-themed tracks, from city streets to coastal highways. You control a selection of sports cars, using the accelerator to build speed, the brake to navigate sharp turns, and steering to avoid traffic and obstacles. The game emphasizes fast-paced, arcade-style handling rather than realistic physics, so you can powerslide around corners and recover quickly from collisions. A good beginner strategy is to focus on maintaining a smooth racing line and using nitrous boosts strategically on long straightaways to gain an edge over opponents. As you progress, the races become more challenging with increased traffic and tougher AI drivers. In tense moments, such as final laps or close finishes, concentrate on avoiding crashes and using your remaining nitrous for a last-second burst to the finish line.
