Grandia is a role-playing game where you control Justin and his party through towns, dungeons, and turn-based battles. The core objective is to explore the world, complete quests, and advance the story by interacting with NPCs and overcoming obstacles. Combat uses the innovative IP gauge system where characters and enemies move along a timeline from Wait to Act phases - you can interrupt enemy actions by timing your attacks correctly. Focus on building your weapon and magic skills through repeated use, as they level up independently. In the early game, prioritize exploring towns thoroughly for items and dialogue, and practice the combat timing system. As you progress, manage your party's equipment and magic spells strategically for different enemy types. During tense boss battles, use combo and critical attacks to break enemy charge-ups and heal strategically.
