Your objective is to defeat a series of opponents in one-on-one combat to progress through the tournament and uncover the story. Each round is fought in a 3D arena where you use a combination of basic attacks, special moves, and combos to deplete your opponent's health bar. As a beginner, focus on learning a few key special moves for your chosen character and practice blocking to defend against incoming attacks. The core gameplay involves finding openings to land combos and using your character's unique weapon, which can be summoned for powerful strikes. The challenge rhythm is fast-paced, with each match requiring quick reactions and adaptation to your opponent's style. In the early moments, concentrate on spacing and landing safe pokes. During the middle of a match, look for opportunities to launch your opponent for a damaging combo. In tense situations, such as when both players have low health, carefully manage your aggression and watch for your opponent's mistakes to land a decisive blow or a finishing Fatality.
