When full, you can unleash a powerful Super Special Move for massive damage. Beginners should focus on mastering a few basic attacks and one character's special moves first. Learn the range of your weapon and practice timing your blocks against the CPU. In the middle of a match, watch your opponent's patterns and try to bait them into making a mistake you can punish.
