Guide the protagonist, Shino, and the other dog warriors across a mythical feudal Japan to defeat the evil spirit Tamazusa. You navigate a top-down world map, exploring towns to gather information, buy equipment, and recruit the remaining seven dog warriors. When encountering enemies in random battles, combat transitions to a turn-based menu where you can attack, use special techniques, employ items, or attempt to flee. In the early stages, focus on grinding for experience and gold near the starting town to upgrade your equipment. As your party grows, manage your formation and coordinate character-specific skills to exploit enemy weaknesses. Keep a steady supply of healing items and status-recovery herbs on hand, especially before entering complex dungeons or facing powerful bosses.
