The King of Fighters '95 is a team-based fighting game where you select a team of three characters to battle against an opposing team. Your objective is to defeat all three of your opponent's fighters using your own team. Each match is a one-on-one fight, and when a character is defeated, the next teammate enters the fray. You control your character with a joystick and buttons for punches, kicks, and special moves. The core gameplay involves reading your opponent's movements, blocking attacks, and creating openings to land combos and powerful special moves. A key mechanic is the ability to perform a dodge roll or a quick sidestep to evade attacks and counter. In the early moments, focus on learning your character's basic moves and simple special attacks. As you progress, master canceling normal moves into special moves to create damaging combos. During tense moments, manage your power gauge; when full, you can perform a powerful Desperation Move for a potential comeback. The challenge comes from adapting to different opponent styles and managing your team's health across the entire match.
