In Wario Land 2, your goal is to guide Wario through side-scrolling stages to recover his treasure from the Black Sugar Gang. You move with the D-pad, jump with the A button, and perform a shoulder bash attack with the B button to break blocks and defeat foes. Wario cannot die from enemy attacks; instead, he gets transformed—like being set on fire or flattened—which can help solve environmental puzzles. Early on, focus on learning how each transformation interacts with the stage; for example, becoming flat lets you slip through narrow gaps. As you progress, watch for hidden doors and alternate paths that lead to branching level routes and multiple endings. During tense moments, carefully time your bashes to avoid hazards and use enemy attacks to your advantage to access new areas.
