In the early stages, focus on mastering basic flight controls and aiming while destroying as many enemies as possible to earn medals, which unlock expert mode. During tense combat or boss fights, keep moving to avoid enemy lock-ons and use your limited supply of Smart Bombs to clear the screen of threats when overwhelmed. The game features branching paths; performing well by defeating specific enemies or fulfilling hidden objectives allows you to access alternative, more challenging routes.
