How to play
In this classic vertical shoot 'em up, you pilot a P-38 Lightning over the Pacific Ocean during World War II. Use the D-Pad to maneuver your aircraft in all eight directions to dodge incoming enemy fire and kamikaze planes. Press the main attack button to fire your primary machine guns rapidly, clearing out waves of lightweight fighters. When overwhelmed, press the secondary button to execute a defensive loop-the-loop maneuver, which makes your plane temporarily invulnerable to bullets and collisions, though you only have a limited number of these rolls per level. To survive the increasingly dense enemy formations, target the distinctive red squadrons; destroying an entire red formation drops a "POW" power-up. Collecting these icons will upgrade your weapon to double-shots, clear the screen, or grant you two escorting sideplanes that multiply your firepower. Prioritize taking down large boss bombers quickly and maintain a position near the bottom of the screen to give yourself maximum reaction time to dodge incoming projectiles.
