How to play
In Donkey Kong Jr., your goal is to guide the young ape through a series of vertical stages to reach the top and free Donkey Kong. You move Jr. left and right, and you must climb vines and chains while avoiding enemies like Snapjaws and Nitpickers. Jumping is used to grab higher vines or avoid threats. Each stage requires careful timing to navigate past obstacles and reach the key at the top to unlock the cage. In the early stages, focus on learning the enemy patterns and mastering the climbing mechanics. As you progress, the levels become more complex with moving platforms and more aggressive enemies, requiring quick reflexes and strategic pauses. During tense moments, watch for enemy patrol routes and use the vines to your advantage to outmaneuver them. The final stage pits you against Mario himself, who drops obstacles that must be avoided while you climb.
