How to play
Life Force is a side-scrolling and vertical-scrolling shooter where you control the Vic Viper spacecraft. Your primary objective is to survive through six stages of alien-infested zones, including the interior of a giant creature, by destroying waves of enemies and massive bosses. You collect power-up capsules that enhance your ship with options like speed boosts, multiple lasers, ripple lasers, and protective shields. The gameplay alternates between horizontal and vertical perspectives, requiring you to navigate tight corridors while avoiding environmental hazards and enemy fire. A key strategy is to memorize enemy patterns and boss attack sequences, as the game is known for its challenging difficulty. Focus on collecting the laser power-ups early to increase your firepower, and always prioritize obtaining the 'Option' satellites that follow your ship and multiply your attack capability. During tense moments, use careful maneuvering rather than reckless shooting to survive bullet-hell sections.
