How to play
Mahjong Academy is a traditional Japanese mahjong game where your objective is to build winning hands by collecting sets of tiles. The game follows standard mahjong rules where you start with 13 tiles and take turns drawing and discarding tiles to complete specific combinations. Your goal is to form a complete hand consisting of four sets (either three-of-a-kind or sequences of three consecutive tiles in the same suit) plus one pair. Pay attention to the available yaku (winning conditions) such as all simples, pure straight, or mixed triple sequence to maximize your score. As you play against computer opponents, focus on building your hand efficiently while monitoring what tiles your opponents are discarding to avoid giving them winning tiles. In tense moments, prioritize defense by discarding safe tiles when an opponent appears close to winning. The game features a school theme with character interactions between matches, adding personality to the traditional mahjong experience.
