How to play

The primary goal in Mario Party 2 is to collect the most stars by the end of a set number of turns. Each turn, players take turns rolling a die to move their character around a themed game board. Landing on different spaces triggers various events: blue spaces give you coins, red spaces take coins away, and happening spaces can drastically change the board's state. The ultimate objective is to reach a star space, where you can purchase a star for 20 coins. After every round of movement, all players compete in a minigame. These minigames range from frantic free-for-alls to tense 2-vs-2 or 1-vs-3 matches, rewarding the winners with a bonus of 10 coins. Your strategy should focus on managing your coin count to afford stars while using items like the Magic Lamp to warp directly to a star or the Boo Bell to steal coins or even a star from an opponent. The game's challenge comes from the unpredictable nature of the dice rolls and the skill-based minigames, making every match a chaotic and fun competition.
