How to play
Metal Slug X is a side-scrolling run-and-gun shooter where your primary goal is to survive through each stage, rescue POWs for bonus points and items, and defeat the boss at the end. You control a soldier who can run, jump, crouch, and throw grenades. The core gameplay involves shooting a wide variety of enemies, from foot soldiers to tanks and aliens, while avoiding their attacks. You can find different weapon power-ups, like the Heavy Machine Gun or Rocket Launcher, which are crucial for dealing with tougher foes. A key strategy is to master the use of the Metal Slug tank, which provides heavy firepower and extra protection but can be destroyed. In the early stages, focus on learning enemy patterns and conserving grenades for large groups or bosses. As you progress, the challenge increases with more complex enemy arrangements and environmental hazards.
