How to play
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 for the Famicom, you select one of the four turtles—Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael—each with a unique weapon and slightly different attack range. Your goal is to fight through multiple side-scrolling stages, defeating Foot Clan enemies and bosses to rescue April O'Neil and stop Shredder. You move with the D-pad, attack with the B button, and jump with the A button. Some turtles can perform a special spinning attack by pressing A and B together, which is useful for clearing groups of enemies but consumes health. Early on, focus on learning enemy patterns and using your character's reach—Donatello's long bo staff is great for beginners. As you progress, manage your health by collecting pizzas and avoid getting surrounded. In tense moments, use hit-and-run tactics and save your special attack for tough enemies or bosses. The game features platforming sections, so time your jumps carefully to avoid pits and hazards.
