In Mahjong G-Taste, players compete in traditional Japanese Riichi Mahjong against various female opponents from the G-Taste manga. The core objective is to build a winning 14-tile hand consisting of four melds and one pair before your opponent does. Players use the arcade control panel to select and discard tiles, and to declare actions such as Pon, Chi, or Kan when claiming opponents' discards. To succeed, focus on building high-value hands while defending against your opponent's discards. Declaring Riichi when one tile away from winning increases your potential points but locks your hand. Keep track of discarded tiles in the pond to safely discard tiles that opponents cannot claim. Winning rounds depletes your opponent's points and unlocks special character artwork, with the game rising in difficulty as you face more skilled opponents in later stages.
