Your goal is to build a powerful 60-card deck and defeat eight Club Masters to earn their Medals, culminating in a final battle against the Grand Masters. Gameplay revolves around turn-based card battles where you play Pokémon cards to attack and Energy cards to power those attacks. Each turn, you draw a card, can play one Energy card, evolve your Pokémon if possible, and then attack your opponent's Active Pokémon. The key to victory is managing your resources effectively, building a balanced deck with a good mix of Basic Pokémon, Evolution cards, and Energy, while including Trainer cards for strategic advantages. As a beginner, focus on learning type matchups (Fire beats Grass, etc.) and ensuring your deck has a reliable way to get Basic Pokémon into play quickly. In the mid-game, you'll face tougher opponents who use more complex strategies, so you must learn to anticipate their moves and disrupt their plans with cards that allow you to look at their hand or discard their Energy. During tense moments, carefully manage your Benched Pokémon and decide when to retreat a damaged Pokémon to preserve it. The challenge rhythm is steady, with each Club Master testing a different strategic approach, requiring you to adapt your deck between matches.
