Your objective is to pilot the ship Recca through waves of enemy forces, destroying everything in your path and surviving to confront the final boss. The moment-to-moment play is extremely fast-paced; you control your ship with the D-pad, firing a constant stream of shots with the B button and unleashing a powerful, screen-clearing bomb with the A button when overwhelmed. You can collect power-up icons to enhance your main weapon's strength and spread.
