Your objective is to guide Nathan Graves through the labyrinthine halls of Dracula's castle, defeating monsters and bosses to ultimately confront the Count himself. Moment-to-moment play involves platforming across precarious gaps, whipping enemies with your Vampire Killer, and discovering new abilities that allow you to access previously unreachable areas. A core mechanic is the Dual Set-Up System (DSS), which lets you combine Action and Attribute cards dropped by enemies to create various magical effects, from elemental whip enhancements to defensive auras. In the early game, focus on mastering the basic whip attack and jump timing while collecting HP Max Up and Heart Max Up items to increase your survivability. As you progress, experiment with different DSS combinations to find a playstyle that suits you, whether it's aggressive fire attacks or defensive ice shields. The challenge rhythm is defined by tough boss encounters that require pattern recognition and quick reflexes. During tense moments, especially in boss fights, prioritize dodging attacks over dealing damage, and use your sub-weapons and DSS magic strategically to create openings.
