Your goal is to navigate maze-like levels, eliminate Nazi soldiers and guard dogs, collect keys to unlock doors, and find the exit to progress. Moment-to-moment play involves moving through corridors and rooms, shooting enemies with a variety of weapons like a pistol, machine gun, and chain gun. Health packs, ammo, and treasure are scattered throughout the levels for collection. In the early stages, focus on learning the level layout and conserving ammo by using your knife or pistol on weaker foes. As you advance, the challenge increases with more aggressive enemies, secret rooms containing powerful weapons, and boss fights. Tense moments occur when you are low on health or surrounded; use strafing to avoid enemy fire and prioritize targets quickly. A useful beginner strategy is to always check walls for hidden passages and listen for the sound of nearby enemies or doors.
