In S.C.A.T., you pilot a flying armored suit through five stages of intense side-scrolling action. Your primary goal is to destroy all alien enemies and defeat the boss at the end of each stage. You move with the D-pad and fire your main weapon with a button; a second button activates a rotating orb that provides additional firepower and can block enemy shots. The orb can be positioned in front, behind, above, or below your character, offering strategic defensive and offensive options. Collect power-ups to enhance your main weapon, such as spreading shots or lasers, and avoid enemy fire and environmental hazards. Early on, focus on learning enemy patterns and mastering orb placement to create safe zones. In later stages, prioritize dodging dense bullet patterns while using the orb to clear a path. During tense moments, keep moving and use the orb defensively to survive overwhelming attacks.
