Super Contra Force is a side-scrolling action game where you choose one of four commandos, each with a unique starting weapon, to battle through enemy forces. Your objective is to advance from left to right, shooting enemies, avoiding their fire, and destroying obstacles. You can jump and shoot in eight directions, and power-ups can upgrade your weapon or grant temporary invincibility. In the early stages, focus on learning your character's weapon spread and movement speed while collecting power-ups to increase firepower. The middle portion introduces tougher enemies and environmental hazards, requiring careful positioning and use of cover. During tense moments, such as boss fights, memorize attack patterns, keep your distance, and use rapid fire while dodging projectiles. The challenge rhythm involves navigating enemy-packed corridors, with occasional vehicle or turret sections adding variety. A useful beginner strategy is to prioritize eliminating enemy spawn points and conserving special weapons for difficult encounters.
