In Strider for PlayStation, you control the agile ninja Hiryu through fast-paced action levels. Your primary weapon is the Cypher, a plasma sword that can be upgraded to increase its power and range. Use Hiryu's acrobatic abilities to run along walls, slide under obstacles, and perform double jumps to navigate the environments. Combat involves quick sword strikes against various robotic enemies and bosses, with special attacks available once you collect power-ups. The game combines platforming challenges with combat sequences, requiring precise timing and movement. Early in the game, focus on mastering the basic movement controls and learning enemy patterns.
