Your goal is to clear all viruses from the stage by matching capsules of the same color. You control Dr. Mario, who drops two-colored capsules from the top of the screen. Rotate and position the capsules so that at least four segments of the same color align vertically or horizontally with viruses or other capsules. When matched, they disappear. The game features a 3D rotating board, adding depth to the strategy. Early on, focus on clearing viruses near the bottom to prevent the playfield from filling up. In the middle of a stage, create chain reactions by setting up matches that cause cascading clears. During tense moments when the board is nearly full, prioritize quick single-line matches to buy time and create space. Use the special attack capsules earned by clearing multiple viruses at once to disrupt your opponent in versus mode or clear large sections in single-player.
