In TMNT: Tournament Fighters, your objective is to defeat your opponent in one-on-one combat to progress through the tournament. Each round is a best-of-three match where you must deplete your opponent's life bar before they deplete yours. You control your character with directional inputs and a combination of attack buttons for punches, kicks, and special moves. Each fighter has a unique set of special attacks, typically executed with quarter-circle or charge motions combined with an attack button. Early in a match, focus on learning your character's move set and keeping a safe distance to observe your opponent's patterns. As you become more comfortable, you can start incorporating combos by linking normal attacks into special moves. During tense moments, such as when both players have low health, prioritize defensive play—block incoming attacks and wait for an opening to punish your opponent's mistakes. The game features a super meter that builds as you deal or receive damage; when full, you can unleash a powerful super move for significant damage. Mastering the timing of these moves can turn the tide of a close match.
