How to play
In Animal Forest, you begin by moving into a new village and taking out a mortgage on your house from Tom Nook. Your main objective is to build a fulfilling life by decorating your home, interacting with animal villagers, and customizing your environment. Each real-time day brings new activities - you can fish in rivers and oceans, catch bugs with your net, dig for fossils, and collect fruit from trees. Building relationships with villagers through daily conversations and gift-giving is key to unlocking new interactions and events. As you pay off your mortgage, Tom Nook will expand your house, allowing for more furniture and decorations. The game follows the actual calendar and clock, with special events occurring on holidays and seasonal changes affecting available wildlife. Early gameplay focuses on learning the village layout and establishing daily routines, while later stages involve completing your fossil collection, catching rare fish and insects, and achieving a perfectly decorated home. The challenge comes from the real-time pacing - some fish and bugs only appear during specific months or weather conditions, requiring patience and planning.
