How to play
Carrier Air Wing is a horizontal-scrolling shoot 'em up where you pilot one of three specialized fighter jets to eliminate enemy forces. Your primary objective is to survive through six challenging stages while destroying everything in your path. Each aircraft has unique weapon systems - the F-14D has wide shot coverage, the F/A-18 offers balanced power, and the A-6E delivers concentrated firepower. Collect power-up items to enhance your main weapon and secondary missiles, which can be strategically deployed for area coverage or focused attacks. The game features a strategic power-up system where you can cycle through weapon types by collecting multiple power-ups of the same color, allowing you to customize your arsenal mid-stage. During tense moments, you can use limited smart bombs to clear the screen of enemy bullets when overwhelmed. Focus on learning enemy patterns in early stages, then prioritize destroying larger enemies and carriers that release power-ups. The challenge rhythm intensifies with each stage, culminating in epic boss battles that require precise dodging and strategic weapon selection.
