How to play
Your goal is to guide Christopher Belmont through four stages of gothic environments, using your Vampire Killer whip to defeat monsters and avoid hazards. You move from left to right, jumping across platforms and whipping candles to collect hearts, which are used as ammunition for sub-weapons like the axe. Timing is crucial: enemies approach in patterns, and pits or spikes cause instant death. Early on, focus on learning enemy movements and conserving health. The whip can be upgraded twice for longer reach and power, but taking damage will downgrade it, so avoid unnecessary risks. In tense moments, use sub-weapons strategically to handle distant or flying foes. Each stage ends with a boss fight that requires pattern recognition and precise attacks. The challenge increases with faster enemies and more complex platforming in later levels, demanding careful jumps and quick reactions to survive.
