How to play
Chrono Trigger is a role-playing game where you control a party of characters through an epic time-traveling adventure. Your main goal is to prevent the destruction of the world by traveling between different eras—past, present, and future—to alter key events. Moment-to-moment gameplay involves exploring towns and dungeons, talking to NPCs for clues, and engaging in turn-based battles that occur directly on the map without a separate screen. You can position your characters to execute combo attacks called Dual and Triple Techs, which deal extra damage or provide healing. In the early game, focus on building your party, learning new techs, and gathering resources. As you progress, pay attention to the consequences of your time-travel actions, as they can open up new story paths and multiple endings. During tense boss fights, manage your HP and MP carefully, and use tech combinations strategically to exploit enemy weaknesses.
