How to play

Final Fantasy Tactics is a turn-based tactical RPG where you lead a party of units across a grid-based battlefield. Your primary objective is to defeat all enemy units or complete specific mission goals, such as protecting an ally or seizing a point. Each unit can move a set number of squares and then perform an action like attacking, using an ability, or casting a spell. Positioning is critical, as attacking from higher ground or an enemy's flank increases your chance to hit and deal extra damage. The Job System allows you to customize each character's abilities; beginners should focus on building a balanced team with a mix of physical attackers, healers, and ranged units. Early on, prioritize completing story battles to earn JP and unlock new jobs. In tense moments, use terrain to your advantage, keep your healer safe, and manage your CT (Charge Time) to control the turn order. The game features permadeath for fallen units if not revived in time, so always have a backup plan.
