How to play
Front Mission 2 is a tactical RPG where you command a squad of Wanzers, powerful customizable mechs, across grid-based battlefields. Your primary objective is to complete mission goals, which often involve defeating all enemy units, capturing bases, or surviving for a set number of turns. Each turn, you move your units across the grid, positioning them for optimal attacks while using terrain for cover. Combat is turn-based; you select a target and choose from weapons like machine guns, missiles, or melee attacks, each effective against different Wanzer parts like the body, legs, or arms. Destroying specific parts can cripple an enemy's mobility or firepower. Early on, focus on balancing your Wanzer loadouts with a mix of weapons and armor, and use pilots' skills to gain advantages.
