How to play
Your objective is to infiltrate the enemy fortress, avoid or neutralize guards, and find and destroy the Metal Gear weapon. You control Solid Snake from a top-down perspective, moving through maze-like environments. You must use stealth to avoid detection by patrolling soldiers and security cameras. If spotted, you can engage in combat using your firearm, but ammunition is limited, so evasion is often the better strategy. Collect keycards to access new areas and find vital equipment like rations to restore health and explosives to blow open certain walls. The game requires careful exploration and resource management. In the early stages, focus on learning guard patrol patterns and mapping the fortress layout. As you progress, you will face tougher enemies and more complex puzzles. The final challenge is a tense confrontation with the Metal Gear itself, requiring precise tactics to succeed.
