How to play

The objective of Snowboard Kids is to win races against other characters on a variety of snowy courses. Each race consists of two laps. You control your character from a third-person perspective, using the control stick to steer and the A button to jump. Building up speed is crucial; you can gain a boost by crouching on straightaways or by successfully landing tricks after a jump. The core challenge comes from the item system. By passing through floating gates, you earn coins to purchase weapons and power-ups from shops located on the course. These items, like missiles and lightning bolts, can be used to attack opponents ahead of you or defend yourself from their attacks. A key beginner strategy is to learn the layout of each track to anticipate sharp turns and the locations of the item shops. Focus on collecting coins efficiently in the early part of a race to afford powerful items for the final, more tense lap where positions are often decided by well-timed attacks and defensive plays.
