You control your character from an overhead perspective, moving around the icy landscape to collect weapon power-ups like freeze rays and explosive eggs. The moment-to-moment play involves strategic movement to avoid being surrounded, aiming your weapon to take down penguins, and quickly dashing back to repair your igloo's damage between assaults. A useful beginner strategy is to prioritize collecting the freeze ray early on, as it can temporarily immobilize multiple enemies, giving you a crucial moment to breathe and reposition. The challenge rhythm is a cycle of frantic combat during a wave, followed by a brief lull to gather resources and make repairs. In the early part of a run, focus on learning the penguin spawn patterns and mastering the weapon pickups. As the game progresses, the waves become more intense, requiring you to manage your ammunition carefully and make split-second decisions during tense moments to protect your base from complete destruction.
