Your goal is to journey across the Unova region, capture Pokémon, defeat eight Gym Leaders, and challenge the Pokémon League to become the Champion. You explore towns, routes, and dungeons from a top-down perspective, encountering wild Pokémon in tall grass or caves. When a battle starts, you select moves from your Pokémon's moveset to attack the opponent, trying to reduce their HP to zero while managing your own team's health and status conditions. Catching Pokémon involves weakening them in battle and using Poké Balls. Early on, focus on building a balanced team with varied types to handle different Gym challenges. As you progress, you'll need to train your Pokémon to higher levels and evolve them for stronger stats. In tense battles, pay close attention to type matchups—like using Water moves against Fire types—and manage your items wisely to heal your team during long dungeons or rival fights.
