Your goal is to guide Sonic through vibrant, fast-paced levels, collecting rings and defeating enemies like Dr. Robotnik's badniks. You'll run, jump, and spin dash through loops, ramps, and obstacles, aiming to reach the goal at the end of each act. Rings act as your health; if you get hit without any rings, you'll lose a life. Try to collect as many rings as possible, and look for hidden paths and special stages to earn Chaos Emeralds. In the early stages, focus on learning the layout and mastering Sonic's momentum-based movement. As you progress, watch out for environmental hazards and use your speed to overcome tricky platforming sections. During tense moments, such as boss fights, study attack patterns and strike when there's an opening.
