The King of Fighters 2003
The King of Fighters 2003 is a 2D fighting game and the tenth main installment in the King of Fighters series. It introduced a new three-on-three team battle system with character swapping during matches and a new storyline focusing on the 'Those from the Past' organization.

The core objective is to defeat your opponent's team of three fighters in a series of one-on-one rounds. You control one character at a time, using a combination of light and heavy punches and kicks to attack, block, and create openings. A key new feature is the ability to perform a quick tag, called a 'Shift,' by pressing two punch or two kick buttons simultaneously, allowing you to swap in a teammate even during an opponent's attack. This adds a layer of strategy for extending combos or escaping pressure. Your primary goal is to deplete your opponent's health bar before they deplete yours. Build up your power gauge by attacking or taking damage, which allows you to perform more powerful Super Special Moves or activate a Multi-Shift for a powerful team assault. In the early moments, focus on learning your character's basic moves and safe poking attacks to control space. As the match progresses, master the timing of your Shift to create unpredictable offensive sequences or to save a weakened character. During tense moments, managing your health and meter for a decisive Super Combo or a well-timed counter-shift can turn the tide of battle.
