You control Ashley Riot, a Riskbreaker agent sent to investigate a conspiracy. The core objective is to survive dungeons, solve environmental puzzles, and defeat powerful bosses. Moment-to-moment play involves real-time exploration combined with a unique combat system: when you encounter an enemy, the game shifts to a targeting mode where you can aim for specific body parts to inflict different status effects or break enemy equipment. A key beginner strategy is to master the Risk meter; chaining attacks increases your damage but also raises your Risk, making you more vulnerable to enemy counterattacks. In the early game, focus on experimenting with weapon types against different enemy classes to discover their weaknesses. As you progress, the challenge rhythm intensifies, requiring you to craft and customize weapons by combining gems and materials to exploit enemy affinities. During tense boss fights, carefully manage your Risk, use defensive abilities like Block and Evade, and target weak points to break the enemy's offensive capabilities before they overwhelm you.
