In Echoes of Time, you control a character from one of four races—Clavat, Lilty, Yuke, or Selkie—on a quest to cure a mysterious illness. Your primary objective is to progress through the story by completing quests and defeating bosses. Combat is action-based: you can attack with your equipped weapon, cast spells by combining magicite, and use items. A key mechanic is carrying a magical chalice that creates a protective bubble; staying inside it is crucial as the outside air is poisonous.
