In Super Mario Bros. 2, your goal is to navigate through dreamy levels, defeat enemies, and reach the end. You control one of four characters—Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Peach—each with unique abilities. Mario is balanced, Luigi jumps higher, Toad is fast at pulling items, and Peach can float briefly. The core gameplay involves pulling vegetables and other items from the ground to throw at enemies, rather than jumping on them. You can also pick up enemies themselves to use as projectiles. Focus on learning each character's strengths: use Toad for quick item retrieval in tight spots, or Peach to float over gaps. In the early game, practice pulling and throwing to clear paths. As you advance, watch for hidden doors and potions that reveal secret areas with valuable items. During tense moments, manage your health by collecting hearts and mushrooms, and prioritize throwing bombs or keys to unlock doors. The final boss, Wart, must be defeated by throwing vegetables into his mouth when he yawns.
